Israel-based Herbamed Ltd. has appointed DVA America, Princeton, NJ, as its exclusive agent for Ultrasome CoQ10 in the eastern U.S. and Canada. Ultrasome is a liposomal-like formulation of CoQ10 developed by Herbamed. The patent-protected formulation improves the bioavailability of the CoQ10 by combining ubiquinone with a dual layer of phospholipids to create a small droplet (liposome). This liposome protects the CoQ10 and delivers it to the GI tract.
